Microfabrica Expands Operations with
New Manufacturing Facility and Corporate Headquarters

Move to larger production facility driven by customer demand

Van Nuys, California – October 4, 2005 -- Microfabrica, a leader in micro-device and micro-system fabrication, today announced it has moved its factory and corporate headquarters from Burbank to a new facility in Van Nuys, California, spurred by the company's growth. The new site is 39,300 square feet, nearly twice the size of the previous location.

The building, located at 7911 Haskell Avenue, contains a state-of-the-art custom-built clean room for manufacturing the company's unique brand of three-dimensional micro-devices using EFAB™, Microfabrica's proprietary process technology. EFAB™ brings a new paradigm to micro-manufacturing, offering unprecedented flexibility, ease-of-use and quick time-to-market in a wide range of applications, including wireless, consumer electronics, automotive and military/aerospace.

"We have significantly outgrown our previous facility as we go into production on multiple fronts. The new location will allow us to keep up with our rapid expansion and will house both the manufacturing and the headquarters in the foreseeable future," said Vacit Arat, president and CEO of Microfabrica. "Interest in our products is booming, and we are pleased to be able to offer our customers the larger production capacity that they expect as we grow together."
